26 Celebrities Who are Very Rude with their Fans

Even the rich and famous get fed up sometimes. It’s understandable when Hollywood stars get annoyed with paparazzi, but you’d think they’d be a bit more patient when they have encounters with fans. Unfortunately, some famous people were apparently jerks even before they were famous. Fan stories about rude and mean celebrities can be pretty shocking.

So, these are the rudest celebrities according to fans.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande has a reputation for being a huge diva. Back in 2013, some fans were set to meet Ariana after winning a contest. It took all day for the meeting, and when it finally happened she spent 15 seconds with them.

Mike Myers

You would think a funny guy like Mike Myers would be a hoot to meet in person, Apparently not. On the sets of the movies he makes, he is reportedly silent, grumpy, and overly controlling.

Pierce Brosnan

James Corden is a fairly famous talk show host. He has definitely interviewed quite a number of celebrities throughout his career. He stated that Pierce Brosnan is the absolute rudest celebrity he ever met. According to him, Pierce rudely shoved him at a U2 concert.

Justin Bieber

Thought the Canadian heart-throb was charismatic? Eh, not really. Justin Bieber has been known to be not the nicest of celebs. He may have millions in the bank, but he sure doesn’t have a lot of class. In 2017 it was reported that he told a female fan she was “the worst”, and in 2016 yelled at fans for talking during his concert. It was also said that in 2013, the singer spat on fans beneath his Toronto hotel room, though, it was later concluded that no fans were below the balcony when he was spitting.

Will Ferrell

Of course, when someone asks Will Ferrell for an autograph, he pokes and teases people. It is probably out of good humor, but nonetheless, it can rub some people the wrong way. Some believe he does it to cover up social anxiety, but still…

Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer has never held herself back from stating whatever the hell she wants. She is this way onstage and off. Recently, she took to Instagram to publically shame a fan who asked her to pose in a picture. She apparently totally hates pictures and has been this way her entire life. We get you, Amy, but this behavior is not necessary!

Jon Hamm

This one is pretty interesting. In Kathy Griffin’s memoir, she shared a story about Jon Hamm. He apparently aggressively confronted her at a party without asking her who invited her. He made a number of rude comments about her “failed” career and commented on her age. That’s not so nice, Jon.

Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson is known for his appearance in the Twilight movie franchise that caught the world’s attention in the 2000s. In 2013 he explained, “Twilight has its own parallel world, it's own fan culture that has been forming on the net since day one. And in an intense way that has never existed before. Sometimes I ask myself what these masses of people do the whole day. They sit in front of their computers and comment on anything having even remotely to do with Twilight.

Bruce Willis

During the 1996 Olympics, Bruce Willis and his then-wife Demi Moore stopped at a California Pizza Kitchen in Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta for a bite to eat. Recognizing the actor, two boys around the age of ten began smiling and pointing at him from a distance. Bruce stood up angrily, yelling at the two boys for interrupting his peaceful lunch.

Miley Cyrus

After Miley tried to kiss Katy Perry at one of her concerts, Katy later joked that she doesn’t know where Cyrus’ tongue had been. Miley responded on Twitter, dissing Katy and her ex-boyfriend. Miley has been known to also cause mayhem in other domains…talk about a lobby trasher! This pop-star is less than neat when she visits hotels.

Jennifer Lawrence

This one surprises even us! She seems like such an approachable and friendly person. Apparently, she is usually super unwelcoming to fans whenever they approach her.

Denzel Washington

Fans reported that Denzel was less than warm with them, barely uttering a word and signing their autographs as fast as he possibly could.

Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz can do whatever she wants, and she does. When someone asked for her autograph, she quickly said no and said, “If I did it for you I’d have to do it for everyone.

When in his prime, the entire world adored Jerry Seinfeld. These days he allegedly isn’t so nice and chill. He is reportedly a big grump and calls today’s youth “too PC.”

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock is often called “America’s sweetheart” but the title might not suit her. A disabled veteran asked her for an autograph, and her response was as rude as can be. She covered up her face and yelled at him.

He looks so cute and nice, but…. he is not. It seems like he needs a big lesson in good manners. When a fan approached him for an autograph he said: “I don’t give autographs to ugly chicks.

Neil deGrasse Tyson

In case you’ve never heard of him, Neil deGrasse Tyson is a famous cosmology and astrophysicist. He reportedly charged a club $85,000 just to speak. They agreed, but he did not discuss science. Instead, he made inappropriate jokes and political comments.

Chevy Chase

Chevy Chase is well known from SNL and National Lampoon. He has garnered a pretty big reputation for being difficult to work with and actually extremely racist! There are numerous reports of him acting like a jerk to coworkers. He once slapped a longtime fan in the face!

Rihanna

She is well known for having an aggressive attitude with fans. She apparently mocks people who copy her style on social media. She once told a group of people admiring her to back the “F**k” up.

Tobey Maguire

Tobey Maguire is not a nice guy. He was voted the worst autograph signer in Hollywood! People think he is too “wrapped up in his own egotistical web." 

Catherine Zeta-Jones

An 8-year-old fan reported that after telling CZJ she wanted to be an actress, Catherine replied “You’re pretty enough, I suppose”, then went back to her conversation. The fan now recalls, 30 years after the incident, that this was the turning point in her life when she went from feeling at ease in the world, to constantly thinking about how everyone was judging her on her appearance.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman

A pilot once reported that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were extremely rude to their own staff and that the famous couple’s personal assistants were terrified of them.

Orlando Bloom

An employee reported that Orlando once parked his motorcycle in the middle of the sidewalk outside of the menswear store he worked at. He came in without a shirt on and yelled across the store, trying to find his “bro.” If that wasn’t bad enough, after picking out clothes, he asked, “Is there an Orlando Bloom is wearing your shirt discount?”

Mandy Moore

When Mandy Moore collided with a shopper, she just stared at him instead of helping him pick up the stuff he had dropped. When he got in line to pay, she stood behind him complaining that she was in a hurry. He then headed to a smoothie shop afterward, and low and behold Moore walked in and got in line right behind him, still complaining.

Christina Aguilera

Christina is super talented but there are quite a few rumors about her. When she was a judge on The Voice she reportedly told off a contestant for not listening to her when she was speaking. It’s not all about you, Christina!
